LGD NEIGHBORHOOD ANALYSIS
WHERE | Lower Garden District, New Orleans, Louisiana
WHEN | Fall 2016
Focusing on the scale of the neighborhood, this project analyzes New Orleans’ Lower Garden District (LGD) at the urban scale. This analysis studied and highlighted interstitial anomalies within the urban street grid. Or rather, spaces where the grid of the streets shifted with the Mississippi River, these shifts were typically accompanied by the implementation of larger public spaces as well. This analysis ultimately led to the citing of “Therme NOLA” at one of the interstitial shifts in the street grid.
